Head-on collision on A40

A man from Cheltenham has been flown to hospital with ''life-changing injuries'', after a head-on collision with another car on the A40 this morning (Tuesday).

Police, paramedics and firefighters were called out to an area near Dowdeswell Reservoir at about 8.20am, where they found a Volkswagen Sharan people carrier and a Mini Cooper. 

The injured man from Cheltenham, who had been driving the Mini, was flown to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol.

The driver of the Volkswagen and two boys, who were passengers in the car, were taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital as a precaution. 

Police are asking anyone who saw the incident to get in touch on 101, quoting incident number 66 of November 20th.
