When “The White Lotus” returns for its third season in 2025, fans will finally get the chance to catch up with Natasha Rothwell‘s beloved spa manager Belinda from the first season. Rothwell’s casting was confirmed by Variety in April — she’s currently the only announced actor for the next season. Series creator Mike White is gearing up to shoot in Thailand next year. Rothwell recently told Vanity Fair she’s read all of White’s Season 3 scripts.
“I gasped out loud a minimum of five times and this was just me reading them,” Rothwell said about her shock over the new episodes. “The scripts are a testament to Mike’s skill and ability to tell the most smart and entertaining stories. I mean, everything that he does is like a lesson to me as an actor and a performer. And as a writer myself, he takes folks on a journey. Everyone needs to buckle up, because it’s going to get real!”

Rothwell continued, “Mike is so collaborative. When we did the first season, we sat down and talked a lot about Belinda and he was so receptive to feedback. So we plan to approach it the same way. But all credit to him, what I love working with him is that he understands that Belinda’s POV is something that he doesn’t possess — so he’s really interested in my feedback, and really wants to make it authentic. And so I’m just so lucky to work with a director like him who understands the value of having me in the role and what I can bring.”

White said in a previous interview with Entertainment Weekly that Season 3 is going to be “supersized,” adding: “It’s going to be longer, bigger, crazier. I don’t know what people will think, but I am super excited, so at least for my own barometer, that’s a good thing … I’m super excited about the content of the season.”
After “The White Lotus” Season 2 finale aired, White teased where the show would be heading next when he told HBO: “The first season kind of highlighted money and then the second season is sex. I think the third season would be maybe a satirical and funny look at death and Eastern religion and spirituality. It feels like it could be a rich tapestry to do another round at White Lotus.”
Rothwell can next be seen opposite Timothee Chalamet in “Wonka,” in U.S. theaters Dec. 15 from Warner Bros. “The White Lotus” Season 3 will air sometime in 2025 on HBO.
